Irans foreign trade volume exceeded USD 42 billion in the first six months of the Iranian calendar year (March 21-September 22), Head of Irans Customs Administration Mehdi Mirashrafi said.
(SHADA: TEHRAN) -- Iran's export of non-oil commodities (excluding crude oil, kiln oil, kerosene as well as luggage exports) amounted to over 70 million tonnes worth $20.9 billion.
The top five exporting countries during the period were China, Iraq, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan, respectively, accounting for 75 percent of Iran's total export value.
Iran also imported 16.5 million tonnes of goods worth $21.2 billion during the period.
According to the report, China, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, India and Germany were the top five exporting countries in the six months of the year, accounting for 70 percent of Iran's total imports.
