The current economic conditions in the country compared to last year have been arranged in such a way that the turbulence is controlled and the conditions are improving,the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance of Iran stated at the meeting of the Resistance Economy Command Headquarters held in Razavi Khorasan Province.
(SHADA: TEHRAN) -- Farhad Dejpasand, who has traveled to Razavi Khorasan Province, pointed to some economic indicators related to foreign trade and said: Despite the hostile sanctions, non-oil exports amounted to $24.4 billion in the first seven months of this year, and imports to $25.2 billion in the same period.
Despite all the pressures, our exports have surpassed $24 billion, and we have seen 21.99 percent growth in imports of basic commodities about which we were concerned in the seven months of this year, he noted, adding: We also had a 10.7 percent growth in exports in terms of weight.
Pointing to the one point improvement of Iran in the World Bank's Doing Business Index and reaching the 127th place, he said: After several years of falling in this index, this promotion is very valuable given the sanctions, because all over the world, under the same circumstances, restrictions and tightening on the business environment are increasing, but nevertheless we were able to maintain good performance.
We hope that with the actions that are being taken, we will see a leap in improving the business environment of the country next year, Dejpasand continued.
The Minister of Economy further stated that this summer, about 840,000 jobs were created in the country, said these statistics show the ability of the country's economy and its high capacity despite the abnormal conditions and cruel sanctions of the enemy.
Noting that the point-to-point inflation rate has been declining, he continued: Once we embrace and practice the doctrines of the resistance economy, we can turn this improving trend into a boom.
Describing the management capabilities, mineral resources, and agronomic, agricultural, industrial and commercial capabilities of Razavi Khorasan Province, and its proximity to Imam Reza (AS), he declared: Razavi Khorasan Province is economically capable of being modeled for other provinces.
The province, like other provinces, has enjoyed favorable economic conditions in the seven months of this year so that the unemployment rate in the rural community fell to 3.6 percent, while the participation rate was 48 percent, Dejpasand added.
Fortunately, today we had a meeting with the custodian of Astan Quds Razavi and he stated with a very positive attitude that he is ready to use the resources of the Astan to solve the problems and to develop the economy of Razavi Khorasan Province and the country, the Minister stated.
